The entrance ticket doesn’t include an additional fee for parking, motorcycle will get charged Rp5,000, and Rp15,000 for a car. The parking area is not spacious. So tourists coming in the afternoon might spend a while looking for a parking spot.

Coban Pelangi Waterfall Pristine Nature
To reach the waterfall people need to walk through a 1.5-kilometer footpath from the gate. The track goes up and down with hundreds of stairs. As it depends on the personal fitness level. On average it takes 20-30 minutes of walking to get to the falls.
Along the path, not just tourists marching up and down the track. A horse will too. Side by side with its keeper, they both escort tourists to the falls. Riding a horse is the best option to get down without even getting tired. And it’s only available on the weekend. Tips, always agree on a price first.

Most tourists choose to ride a horse to go down to the waterfall. Riding along with the wider sight of the landscape view. A few meters away from the horse riding area. Another spacious land sets for camping. It is large and quiet and offers a calm and harmonious ambiance with lush trees around it.
The clean air, clear sky, and chilly atmosphere are things that await campers. However, away from its splendid scenery, the camping area settles a bit far from the waterfall. There are toilets available, but with less water supply.
Therefore, it is best to come on weekdays to prevent an exploding number of campers. The booking price cost Rp10,000 per night. It does not include the camping gear rental that cost Rp50,000.
Garden Flower and Photobooth
Walking around Coban Pelangi waterfall is not complete without dazing its beautiful flower garden. The garden zone lies sideways of the entrance footpath. Sunflowers, red Ashoka’s, and colorful daisies line neatly. Making a beautiful flower parade. Sometimes, colorful butterflies are flying around, adding to the allure of the garden.
The bloom of the flowers is too precious not to be captured. Thus, some photobooth sets for tourists is available on the spot. Allowing guests to capture a splendid garden view in the right spot.

Located a few hundred meters away from the waterfall. Rainbow Hill is another must-view site. To reach the area, visitors need to go up and follow the stairs. The path is paved with colorful bamboo around, highlighting its name. The walk takes no longer than walking down to the waterfall.

Basic facilities are available on the premises. Toilets are scattered in a few spots. Food vendors and prayer rooms along with small cottages are there too. The entire facility is located before the bamboo bridge.

How To Get To Coban Pelangi Waterfall
From the central point of Malang, follow the main road to Tumpang. The trip takes around 40 minutes by car. At Tumpang, continue and follow the main road of Tumpang-Poncokusumo. It’s the same road that heads to Mount Bromo National Park. Then, continue to Raya Gubugklakah Street and drive for another 10 minutes.
Coban Pelangi waterfall entrance gate is located on the right side. Unfortunately, there is no public transportation that reaches the waterfall. To point out, renting a private car or motorcycle from Malang is the only way.
For a car, the rental price normally starts from Rp350.000 for 12 hour trip. The price doesn’t include petrol, driver’s tips, and parking fee. Meanwhile, for a motorcycle, it starts from Rp. 65.000 for day rent.
