The entrance ticket for international tourists and locals is the same Rp20.000. To point out since the waterfall is claimed by 2 villages. Tourists coming from the Tegenungan entrance have to pay an additional fee of Rp15.000 to explore the different sides of the waterfall. The same conditions apply to tourists coming from the Blangsinga entrance.

Tegenungan Waterfall Opening Hours
The waterfall opens for tourists from 6 AM to 06:30 PM. However, there are specific times when the waterfall gets at the most stunning view. The best time to visit Tegenungan waterfall starts as the sun half-rises at 9 AM and a half-set at 3 PM. The place will get busy and crowd most at 12 PM.

Top Things To do in Tegenungan Waterfall
Tegenungan waterfall is the best place to escape from Ubud’s busy tourist area. The interesting fact about this waterfall is both are claimed by 2 different villages. Tegenungan village and Blangsinga village. In fact, there are even 2 different entrances to the waterfall.
Compared to other waterfalls in north Bali, Tegenungan or Blangsinga waterfall is small in size. The waterfall height is just around 15 meters high. However, the water volume discharge is massive. To point out the water sound is roaring that could be heard even from afar.
Bathing & Swimming
The beauty of the waterfall could clearly be seen after stepping down more than 150 wide stairs. There are several spots for bathing in the waterfall area. The first one is on the upper side near the waterfall. There is a safety rope marking the safe and unsafe spots for guests’ safety.
The second spot is a few steps down, where the water flow is not that strong. The dipping area is separated by a stone wall. Dipping in cold water here is best after swimming in the first spot. Not only tourists, but the locals living around the waterfall also use the bathing area on a daily basis.
Although the water flow sometimes is strong, especially during monsoon season. Worry not, the depth of the pond is not that deep. There is a safety sign and local people stand by in the area. Prewedding Photo
As the place offers a natural scenic view. Tegenungan waterfall has become a favorite spot for locals to take pre-wedding photos. The first favorite spot to take pictures is the stacking stones area. The second spot is at the edge of the waterfall overlooking the river.
The best time to take a pre-wedding photoshoot in Tegenungan waterfall is early in the morning between 7 to 8 AM. Before the tourist crowds. However, for prewedding purposes, the is an extra charge of Rp300,000. Included in the extra fee is a room for changing costumes and a make-up room.

As the visitors reach the parking area, make sure to pack water and food. There are food stalls and mini cafés selling beverages that visitors can bring to the waterfall. Some food stalls sell snacks at affordable prices starting from Rp10.000.
Most visitors either bring snacks in or come after playing in the waterfall. In addition, there’s a restaurant named Bumbu Asli International near the Waterfall. The restaurant is at the top of the waterfall. High land with an open-air design.
From the restaurant, visitors can obviously see the Tegenungan waterfall from above. Serving healthy Balinese and European foods. Bumbu Asli Resto also serves a selection of beverages, juices, chicken fried rice, and a grilled tenderloin steak.

Facilities
Toilets, changing rooms, and lockers are available at the bottom of the waterfall. Prepare Rp15,000 to use the locker facility. The upper side both on the left and right side has a day club and one with an infinity pool. The parking area in Blangsinga village is bigger than the other entrance.

How To Get To Tegenungan Waterfall
There is no public transportation heading to Tegenungan Waterfall. Renting a scooter for solo or a couple might be the best option. From Ubud main street head to Cok Rai Street passing Peliatan Royal Palace and turn left.
At the roundabout take the first exit and continue on passing the Kemenuh Butterfly Park. Turn right to Ir. Sutami Street and go straight to the Pekandelan restaurant. There is a small street on the left turn which directs to the parking area of the waterfall.
