How To Get To Lempuyang Temple

The temple is located in Karangasem district, which quite remote from the hustle Kuta area. It will take 3-4 hours drive from Kuta or Seminyak area to get to the district. Visitors coming from Ubud can cut half of the driving time to 2-2.5 hours. Besides that, there is another faster option to get here.

Spend a night in Karangasem district. Options either in Candidasa or Amed. It takes 40 minutes to get to Penataran Agung Lempuyang Temple from Candidasa area. Choose to stay in Amed, it will only take half an hour. There is no public transportation to get here. Going with a group, hiring a private car with a driver is the most convenient way.

The average price for 8 hours use is Rp 600.000, for the capacity 4-6 person. Furthermore, hiring a scooter can also be an option for a solo or couple. A day rent will cost around Rp50.000 to Rp100.000 depends on the scooter type. Avoid online booking unless it comes with a fabulous reputation.
