Svarloka – also known as the holiest zone. There are total 16 temples with 3 main temples dedicated to 3 Hindu Gods. The tallest and biggest temple made for God of destruction, Shiva, is in the center of the area. It is believed that Prambanan Temple originally was named as Siwagrha which means house of Shiva.

Ramayana Ballet Performance – The art and ballet performance in Prambanan is a cinematic storytelling about Rama and Shinta. The performance also tells about the relationship between human. Legendary of the king with his queen and the kingdom. The Gods, giant creature. The musical performance by gamelan orchestra and Java traditional dance makes the visualization outstanding.
The story about Ramayana has also written in Shiva temple reliefs. More than 200 professional dancer and musicians are involved in this performance.
Ramayana performance is staged in an open theater (outdoor) during May – October. While on November – April performed in indoor theater.

How To Get To Prambanan Temple
Conventional taxi and car rental are available in Yogyakarta. Particularly in Malioboro and Prawirotaman area which is known as the tourist area. For those who travel in a private vehicle. The distance between Adisutjipto International Airport to Prambanan is only 7.6 km. Taxi apps such as Uber and Grab also easy to booked and reliable.
Public Bus/Transjogja – The cheapest option is using public bus (Transjogja). Transjogja Lane 1A is the only bus to get to Prambanan from the downtown.
The Transjogja bus available every 15 minutes depends on the traffic. The lane 1A route includes stops at Adisutjipto International Airport, Mangkubumi shelter in Malioboro and Tugu train station. Operational hours : 05:30 am – 09:30 pm. The Transjogja Bus ticket will cost a penny and still the reliable and cheapest option.
