Experience a unique swing sensation and witness the stunning green aerial view on a new level. Located in Ubud, Bali Swing is the first and the most prominent giant swing attraction on the island. In total, there are 14 swings and nine nests to try on.

The Nests which exactly depict the bird’s sanctuary are made of dry rattan. It resembles a birdhouse on a big scale. Some spot overlooks the vast green little forest. And the other look over the canyon and Ayung River. It’s the perfect place to sit and appreciate what nature has given.

The entrance fee package costs Rp170.000 per person. It includes a lunch buffet, a complimentary drink, and access to some photo spots and transport. Except for the swing usage and nest. While the active package offers unlimited access to all photo spots, swings, and nests. The price starts from Rp500.000 to Rp570.000. Children up to 5 years old are free of charge.

Bali Swing Attraction

Some may think it’s just a swing, but this swing will take courage to ride on. The single swings enable the person to swing from 10m to 78m elevation. Don’t panic about the people’s screams, that’s what the swing causes: an adrenaline rush!

Interestingly, there are more than 10 single swings on the premise. Find one which queue is not too crowded and get swung from there. The view is stunning from all the swings. Before the launch, make sure someone has the camera to take the photo.

All swings overlook the vast green area from above. One will find coconut trees, rice terraces, and the small river beneath. For one coming alone, ask the staff to get the photo while swinging. Or, simply hire a photographer ($12 hiring fee). The shot will be better if taken on a bright, sunny day. So make sure to check the weather upon planning on visiting Bali Swing.

Tandem Swings

Too afraid to swing alone shouldn’t be a reason to leave the spot. Try the spot’s tandem swings. It’s the perfect ride for couples. Or for a group of friends or family try the 4 individual swings at once. There’s also a fascinating swing bed. Don’t worry, not only couples, the family can try it as well. Except it doesn’t cater to children under 5 years old.

Cute Nests To Sit On

Enjoy sitting on the nests just like the birds do. From the nests, one can also see the majestic view of the surrounding area. Just make sure not to come here too late, the mat can be too hot to sit on. Especially if the nest doesn’t have a cover on the upper side. In the hanging nests, there’s a detachable small ladder one should take to reach the nest itself.

In total, there are nine nests to try. So, pick wherever one seems perfect to take photos on. Don’t forget that one may have to queue to use the nests. So, bring patience along while visiting here.

Other Spots for Photo Hunters

As mentioned before, try taking some photos of the lost jungle boat. The wooden boat is installed as if floating in the sky with greeneries beneath. The sky bed should be included in the bucket list too. This one is different from the bed swing. It’s sitting in a permanent installation, and there are several pillows too.

For a more natural spot, the giant stone should be perfect. The stone is big enough for two or three people to sit. So one can bring friends to sit there. Engraved on the stone is ‘Bali Swing’. From this stone, the most notable view is the flowing river.

Adventurous Spots to Try

Quad-bike riding, rafting, and elephant riding are available for those adventure geeks. One can also have a tour of the Tegenungan waterfall with a VW. For each activity, there’s a certain package for that. Each package fee includes the giant swing and nests, too.

Quad-bike riders will pass through Ubud’s countryside-designated tracks for two hours. A guide will take care of the quad-bike rider all the time. Get the thrill of tackling bumpy and narrow roads. At times, riders will meet a few locals along the track, too. Remember to prepare for changing clothes. Since one may encounter water puddles along the trip.

Rafting also takes around two hours. There’s a guide with the fee included in the package price. Take the time to enjoy the stunning landscape. The stream isn’t too hard to tackle so amateurs can raft here too.

Sitting on top of the elephant is also possible by taking a certain package. Ride through the jungle and even rice paddies with a tame elephant as a company. Or interact and play with the baby elephants. Visitors can also enjoy meals while observing this big fellow from a close distance.

Facilities

The staff offers paid transportation services to and from the premises. The farther the pick-up point, the more expensive the price is. However, this doesn’t cover all Bali areas. The farthest points are Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, and Benoa. For these points, the fee is Rp200.000-255.000/person. This transport fee is paid along with the entrance fee.

For the swings and nests area, there’s a photo shooting service as well. Pay US$12 and get all taken photos (digital files only). Women may also try a flowy dress by renting it on the spot. The dress rent cost different, ranging from Rp150.000 – Rp400.000.

An eating place is also available for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. However, the price is quite pricey. The toilet is quite clean but small. And lastly, the spot has ample parking space enough for cars and scooters.

Bali Swing Free Shuttle Schedule

There are 4 departures from the Ubud area to Bali Swing and vice versa. The shuttle operates as early as 9 AM and returns as late as 6 PM. The departure point is at Queen’s of India restaurant near the Ubud Palace and return at the same place.

How To Get To Bali Swing

From around Ubud Art Market, the distance is around 13 km. Choose to go by rented scooter or car, whichever is fine. App-based ride-hail is also possible to catch with a fee of Rp60.000 for a car and Rp37.000 for scooters. The area’s name is Bongkasa Pertiwi.

Starting from Ubud Art Market, drive left to pass through Monkey Forest Street. Keep following the street then turn right to Raya Pengosekan Street. From there, the route one must follow is Raya Nyuh Kuning-Tebongkang-Demayu-Tunon. Then take the left turn once passing Tunon Street.

There, head to Raya Ubud-Mambal street-Pengembungan-Kedewatan. Last, turn left to find Dewi Saraswati Street. The place is located on the left side of the road. Well – don’t hesitate to ask locals if confused. The online map is trustworthy so one can rely on this.
